NTTC represents the tank truck industry before Congress and many of the federal regulatory agencies, including the DOT , EPA, DHS, and their many divisions like PHMSA, FMCSA, and TSA. We're also involved in numerous state and local issues that impact tank truck carriers through our affiliate relationship with the American Trucking Associations.

We provide members with timely, relevant information.

Through our monthly newsletters, issues-oriented policy papers, detailed membership communications, leadership meetings, and direct contact with key governmental decision-makers, our experienced Washington, D.C. staff provides our members with the latest information on legislative, regulatory, and operational developments that affect their businesses.

We represent the collective interests of the tank truck industry.

We advocate and represent our members on such items as compliance with federal laws, motor carrier safety, regulations governing cargo tank design, maintenance and operations, vulnerability of hazardous materials, and other related subjects involving federal, state and local governments.

We act as the industry representative to the public.

NTTC serves as a spokesperson and resource to carriers, shippers, regulators, news media, financial community, and the general public . . . basically, anyone who wants or needs more insight into the specialized world of tank truck operations.

We provide a forum for the exchange of news and information.

While our members manage day-to-day operations, NTTC develops and provides numerous big-picture training seminars specializing in subjects such as safety, management, finance and planning, maintenance, and other points of interest to the tank truck industry.  Through our various activities, members interact regularly to brainstorm challenges unique to the tank truck business and share problem solving ideas with other peers in our highly specialized industry.
